Claire Lloyd

Claire Lloyd

Manager – U16’s / Club Secretary

The U15’s is a team that is very close to the Manager’s heart not only because her son plays for them but the fact that a lot of the team have been together since soccer starts (from the age of 4 / 5) , they have worked hard to achieve the goals they have. Last season 2021/22 not only did they win their league they were unbeaten and won every single game finishing champions! Then to add to the team’s success they won the Sportsmanship Award for the whole league!

Chris Doherty

Chris Doherty

U14’s / Chairman

I started playing football at the age of 9, playing for Sleaford, Nottingham Forest, Sleaford, Heckington and Helpringham, before being forced to retire at 28 with a knee injury.

I became a coach at HJFC after watching my son grow as a player, I saw this as an ideal way back into the game that I love. I’ve managed the team now for the last 3 years and qualified as a Level one coach in 2022.

I now have 3 children playing for HJFC in the different age groups.

Cody Doherty

Cody Doherty

Coach – U12’s

I have been involved in football since I was 5 years old, I only played until I was 9, but grew up around the game because of my older brother, Chris.

I got into coaching 3 years ago due to my nephew playing for Heckington and my brother taking over management.

Paul Massingham

Paul Massingham

Assistant Manager – U14’s

I was first involved with the club by bringing my son to a training session in 2016. In 2020 I became a football assistant, took my level 1 coaching badge in 2022 and now have progressed to a managers assistant for the under 13’s. I am an active member of the clubs committee and currently working towards improving the facility of the club.

Jason Carrington

Jason Carrington

Manager – U8’s

I first got involved with the club in 2021 when I agreed to coach the football school. Like a lot of people involved in grassroots I decided to get involved because my son wanted to start playing football.

Heckington is also the club which I first started playing football for back when I was 8 years old.

I have a real passion for football and really miss playing myself but to see the kids improve and enjoy playing as much as I did makes it all worthwhile.

Michael Gaffney

I have over twenty years’ experience of coaching most of it spent with Everton, although I have also spent time with Wigan schoolboys, Liverpool schoolgirls as part of the Liverpool FA and coaching disabled children.

As well as running the HJFC Football School, I am active with all teams in the HJFC set-up providing focused goalkeeper sessions for all age groups.

Claire Brown

Claire Brown

Welfare Officer

My son joined HJFC in 2013 age 6 and still plays for the club today, which has seen me freezing on the touchline and helping out as a parent for many years! I then joined the committee in 2019, I became Club Welfare Officer the following year, ensuring that all of our players continue to enjoy football in a safe and inclusive environment.

Lynsay Mountain

Lynsay Mountain

Treasurer

I’m the very proud mum of 3. I first had a connection with the club when my youngest, Harry joined the Soccer Stars aged 5, he loved it! He has stayed with the club, and now plays for the Heckington U11’s.

My 2 daughters have also been team members in their respective age groups. My eldest daughter has gone on to become a qualified F.A. referee which has been fully supported by the club. In 2021 I joined the Committee as Treasurer. I am enjoying the role and excited to see how the club evolves in the future.

Guy Gibson

Guy Gibson

Development Coach

My background in football stems back to childhood, supporting Newcastle since 2001 and practically growing up at Sincil Bank and Sixfields, watching Lincoln and Northampton. I played a lot at school and trained at HJFC, as well as playing for Carre’s Grammar School’s 2nd XI.

I started coaching at Heckington in 2012. After two years of learning the ropes and earning my FA Level 1 coaching certificate, I took some time away for Uni. On returning, I managed the U14 squad for the 2017/18 season, and stayed involved with them until their U18 season came to an end in 2022, during this time I also earned my FA Level 2 Coaching badge.

With the knowledge that I had gained around Coaching Philosophy, the practicalities of coaching, and how the young athlete develops physically, mentally, socially and in sport, I decided to stay with HJFC and help develop the players coaches.

Using my 10 years of experience, it is my hope that my support enables our coaches to give our players an even more enjoyable and productive personal and sporting development here at the club.
